Coral reef diorama

Nadia wanted to do painting today and she specifically wanted to paint a star-fish. So we made this coral reef diorama. Nadia painted the inside of an old shoe-box blue while I drew some fishes, an octopus, a jelly-fish and some coral reefs out. She then helped cut them out.

Then she painted each one of them. I absolutely love her concentration here.

She then stuck them onto the box with glue.

She used a few rocks from her dinosaur box to make a seat for the octopus and also added them to the floor of the ocean. I took this opportunity to explain what invertebrates are (like star-fishes). So now, if you ask her for an example of an invertebrate she can show you one.

Have a great week.

Cheers,

Aruna
