This post is inspired by our beach visit while on vacation last week. We used simple things from home to create this simple beach scene. Nadia started out by painting the sea on a paper plate.

Leaving the paper plate to dry, Nadia next made a paper blanket.

Next, we used play-dough to make a beach-ball, a pair of flip-flops, an umbrella stand and a beach bag.

I helped Nadia also make a star-fish.

We used dough to create the sand and put everything together. A beach umbrella (using a straw and a cone made from paper), a plastic palm tree and our play-dough objects completed the scene.

Here is Nadia, pretty pleased with her creation.
